“Gurusanthwanam” is a programme initiated by the Sreenarayana Gurumandira Samithi in 2007 for the protection of two destitute Smt Thankamma and her daughter Jagathamma. The Samathi had decided to renovate their house and provided Rs.500 per month for meeting their primary needs. Meanwhile Smt. Thankamma passed away, the Samithi made a temporary arrangement to rehabilitate Jagathamma in the “Manhilamandiram” under the control of social welfare Department .The documents of their property have been submitted to the Sreekariyam Grama Panchayath for the legal pattayam transfer to Jagathamma and constructing a new house preferably in the Susthira Nagaravikasana Pathathi or any other scheme. The Kariyavattom Gramasabha has taken favorable decision in this regard. The Sree Narayana Gurumandhira Samathi and Smt. Archana P. Menon, the ward member of Sreekariyam Panchayath, are constantly in touch with the welfare plan and future course of action will be taken subsequently.
